I would like to receive a notification (or automatically add to order list) when the quantity of an item drops below the minimum order point regardless of whether it is time to count the item or not. I want to know when something has stocked out before it's actually needed so I can decide whether I should order it now or wait until the next count.
Hello there!
That’s a great idea—and the good news is this functionality is already built into Inventory Ally.
Here’s how it works:
If we detect that an item’s depletion date falls before your next scheduled count, Inventory Ally will automatically move that item to your Low Stock tab.
Anything in the Low Stock tab is also added to this week’s order list, so you can address it right away.
This ensures you’ll see items that risk stocking out before they’re actually needed, giving you the choice to order now or wait for your regular cycle.
To make this even more useful for you, what type of notification would you prefer when this happens?
A pop-up in Inventory Ally
An email reminder
Or do you feel the Low Stock tab visibility is enough?
Your input will help us fine-tune how we surface these alerts so they feel supportive, not overwhelming.
Keep the wonderful suggestions coming!
